For Independent NY 2024 Lubov presents a solo exhibition of paintings by Shannon Cartier Lucy. The star is such a universal symbol. It is a primary and childlike shape but can also be deeply mysterious, even spiritual and religious. Shannon Cartier Lucy is curious about what she can invoke by using the star in new paintings in unfamiliar ways–and come up with something interesting and touching as well.
